BCMYC Mission Statement:
The mission of the Big Canoe Model Yacht Club (BCMYC), a non-profit organization, open to all Big Canoe residents is:
- To promote Corinthian style remote controlled (RC) sail boating within the Big Canoe, GA community.
- To foster the building, sailing, and racing of the Tippecanoe Boats T37 Class RC sailboats, and is open to other RC sailboats in non-racing regatta activities.
- To educate its members on the latest T37 construction methods and upgrades, basic sail boat design, points of sail, sailing rules of the road, and RC sailboat racing and racing strategy.
- To promoted non-sailing members’ participation through involvement in social events, committee membership, and sanctioned BCMYC T37 Regattas.
- To focus on creating a fun and exciting community with social fellowship centered on RC sailing.
